What's a Coffee & Print Pass?

It gets you access to our space for 2-4 hours, at $5 per hour so you can have all of your coffee meetings. You and one guest can have unlimited coffee during your Coffee & Print pass window. You can also print unlimited black and white copies.

We love a great user experience, but our door access system has a lot of steps, so please read below before clicking to make sure you don't miss anything.

Step 1: Register

When you click on the button above, it will take you to https://members.thehivewichita.com/calendar/visitor-seat/book. This is Proximity, our door access and room booking system. Click "register" if you haven't booked a day pass with us before or "login" if you have or if you've been a member in the past. It will ask you to fill in some info before proceeding. Your password needs to be 8 characters long and you'll need to enter it a second time to confirm it. Then click to agree to the terms of service (basically, don't be a jerk).

Step 2: Check Your Email

Visit your email (check spam and trash if it's not in your inbox) and search for an email called" Please verify your email address" from proximity@thehivewichita.com.

Step 3: Click "Verify Email"

Step 4: Navigate Back to "Reservations" and then "Visitor Seat"

Or just click here.

Step 5: Click the Date and Select Your Chosen Date

You can navigate with the arrows or by selecting the date you want to come in.

Step 6: Click on the Gray Bar Under "Coffee Pass"

Select the time you'd like to come in (2 hour minimum) and the bar will turn black. Then click the pink "Book Now" button.

Step 7: Click "Continue"

You can tell us why you're coming in, make your reason private, or just hit "continue."

Step 8: Click "Add Payment Source"

Step 9: You Did it!

You'll have door access during your scheduled coffee time. We hope to see you around The Hive then! Call/Text us at 316-333-7001 with any questions.

Step 10: Day of: Drive to The Hive & Find a Safe Parking Spot

If you park in the parking lot off Broadway (behind the Orpheum building), park in a spot marked "The Hive" or if you're here two hours or less, you can park in a spot labeled "Visitor." Note: our neighbors will tow if you park in a visitor spot longer than 2 hours or in a spot marked for another business. There is also street parking off Broadway and 1st as well as paid lots within walking distance.

Step 11: Access your key for the door

You can visit https://members.thehivewichita.com/letmein to access your key when you're in front of The Hive. Just click on the lock when you're in front of the door (1st door as you approach the building from the parking lot) and you'll hear a click, then push the door open. Call/Text us at 316-333-7001 with any questions.

Step 12: Make yourself at home until 5 PM!

You should get an email with our wifi information. If you can't find it, it's also posted on the wall as you enter. Feel free to grab coffee from the kitchen on your right and sit anywhere in the open spaces. If you want to reserve a private room, you'll need to pay by the hour. *To ensure a safe and trauma-informed environment in our women-focused coworking space, we welcome men into our space for day passes and coffee passes, but we have implemented safety measures that restrict access to 8 AM to 5 PM. This policy aims to prevent situations where a woman might experience discomfort or triggers when alone with an unfamiliar man after dark. If you are a man, we appreciate your understanding about leaving promptly at 5 PM unless you are with a female member who has 24/7 access.

Upstairs Recording Studio 1: seats 1 and is ideal for zoom calls, filming video lessons, or recording podcasts. It includes a desktop mac computer, a ring light, a professional microphone, and headphones.

Upstairs Recording Studio 2: seats 1 and is ideal for recording your own videos as it includes a ring light.

Additional microphones, tripods, and lighting equipment is able to be checked out.

—Free attendance to any events we're holding on the day you're here (our events are typically on Wednesdays). Several of our events include a chef-catered lunch. We have lunch and learns, masterminds, group mindset coaching, and more!

Remember, buy 4 of these in a month and you've already paid more than a whole month of membership (without any of the real perks), so let us know at the end of your day if you're ready to join and we'll apply the $25 you paid to your membership ($95/mo).

I need a private space to take a call. Is this an option?

Yes! As part of your day pass, you get 3 hours of booking time in one of the following rooms:

How is your wifi?

We have Fiber Wifi and typically get 800 mbps download and 200 mbps upload (that's really fast, if that sounds like mumbo jumbo to you).

I really love coffee...is yours any good?

We get complements on our coffee all the time! Everyone loves our bean to cup espresso machine that makes French Vanilla Lattes, Cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and more. You get unlimited coffee with your day pass and can treat your guests to a cup of Joe too!

Where will I park and how will I access the space? It gives me anxiety not knowing!

We're located in the Orpheum building at 200 N. Broadway Ave. Ste. 110. You can park in the lot behind the building, in a spot marked "Hive" or "visitor" or even across the street or on 1st street in 2 hour parking. Once you buy your day pass officially, you'll receive log in instructions for a link or app on your phone that you can use for keyless entry to our front door. (We keep it locked on the outside for safety, so that only members and guests can enter.)

Are men allowed at The Hive?

Absolutely! They can even buy a day pass to work from 8 AM to 5 PM. We encourage you to bring your male clients, co-workers or significant other to The Hive at no charge for a meeting, coffee chat, or even lunch with you while you're here. We think of The Hive as a women-focused but not exclusive space, so we’re all about welcoming everyone into our sanctuary. Note: to ensure a safe and trauma-informed environment in our women-focused coworking space, we have implemented safety measures that restrict male door access to the premises after 5 PM. This policy aims to prevent situations where a woman might experience discomfort or triggers when alone with an unfamiliar man after dark.

I have ADHD and worry I won't be able to focus around so many cool women...any advice?

You are among your people! Did you know that people with ADHD are 3x more likely to start a business? Because we focus on entrepreneurial women, we figure a solid 60% of our members have ADHD. And guess what? They all say they get so much more work done at The Hive. Why? Body doubling, my friend. It's having a friend or partner who works simultaneously in the same room as you, giving you hidden accountability to stay on task.

I'm [an introvert/too old/new to business/etc.]. I don't think I'll fit in...what do you think?

Our members come from all walks of life, so you would be surprised who you'll find among our bees. Our membership ranges from 18 all the way to 70+. We have plenty of introverts and extroverts. Some have been in business for decades and others don't know the first thing about starting a business (that's partly why they're here)! Besides, it's not about fitting in and being the same as everyone else...it's about finding a place where you can be yourself and BELONG!

I have an office already and don't need a space to work. Is a day pass still worth it for me?

Absolutely. There are such positive benefits to your mental health from being around cool women who will inspire you, challenge you, and cheer you on.

Do you offer refunds?

We do not, but if you don't end up using your day pass on the day you reserved, contact us and we'll issue you a credit for the next time you purchase one.

What if I have a Zoom call or a phone call and need a private space?

You can pop into our conference room or recording studio for a little more privacy. We do discourage members and visitors from taking zoom calls or phone calls in the main space, so as not to disturb those coworking, but there are plenty of nooks and crannies to hide out in and take a call!

Can I host events in the space?

Yes, but unless it's 6 people or under and hosted in one of our conference rooms, it's not included in your day pass. With nearly 2000 square feet of tall ceilings, curated furniture, kitchenette, and a bean to cup espresso machine our beautiful event venue serves our Wichita, KS clients in need of an intimate space to host their next workshop, pop up event, conference, business meeting, birthday/anniversary party, or wedding/baby shower.

Rate: $50/hr (includes 15 min of set up prior and 15 min of clean up following)

Private Availability: 6 AM- 10 PM any day of the week

Space: Main Room

Accommodates: 30 people

Rate: $100/hr* (includes 15 min of set up prior and 15 min of clean up following)

Private Availability: 6-7 AM or 7-10 PM any day of the week

Additional Availability: 6 AM - 10 PM on weekends (coworkers may enter/exit the main space throughout the 7 AM- 7 PM window and we cannot guarantee event privacy during these hours).
